Wrap Up Story and Photos of The Homecoming Trip

Gedung Sate, Bandung.

I feel like our campuses should have homecoming tradition. Homecoming is a typical US tradition, but it is worth to adopt because Alumni who are graduated from a university would usually like to come back to visit the university where they use to study and live if they miss it. I take the example myself that I missed Bandung so much after leaving the city for a half decade. Now, I am here and just wrapped up my homecoming, I call it, by putting the photos in this blog.

The favorite place to eat in Bandung

Visiting the former university has its own physiological benefits. One is we can recall all the memory we had during our stay with friends in the school and out of school. We all, at least me, had the time which we came to the school late, made the teacher upset, depressed due to a low grade in some semesters. We occasionally ran out of money that forced us to stay hungry for a couple of days if there was no body that could help lending us a little money. In addition to the sad part, some of us might come back to recall and re-celebrate and proud of the achievements we had at that place. Romantic memory we had also usually comes with it . We would have that feeling once we go and see the places where we proposed our ex-boyfriends or girlfriends. These all could be retrieved once we come back and see the objects that can stimulate that. Even though some people may say it reverse because each one’s circumstance is different, but mine was totally positive where I enjoyed a lot for this “my-homecoming.”

There are also a lot of things that surprise us when we come back after a long time. The city might have changed. It could be a progression of regression. The place we used to stay might have had new tall buildings, more shops, roads are cleaner, and people are more prosper, etc. However, there is also a possibility in which the place even moves backward. The most exciting part is we would be so excited if we meet the people who used to teach us in class and educate us outside of class. Most importantly, they used to be the role model for us. They are the teachers or instructors or professors, administration staffs, the security guards, etc. Some might have thinner or heavier set body. Some might have had get married and having lovely children. When we meet them, they would always be so happy to welcome us. I had this moment when I met my friends, and former teachers. I was so happy to meet all of them, at this time. Of course I will came back and see them all again.
